A Different Lens Disability Counseling exists to provide affirming, trauma-informed mental healthcare that centers the lived experiences of individuals with disabilities. Through a strengths-based and socially conscious approach, we challenge stigma, honor neurodiversity and disability identity, and support clients in reclaiming agency, resilience, and self-definition.
About Me
Hello, I’m Cate Runge. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who happens to be legally blind. I received my Master’s degree in counseling from UNC Charlotte. I specialize in working with school-aged children and adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety and trauma. I work through a disability-justice lens and hope to work with individuals with disabilities to help them find hope and joy.
